Factors that make stainless steel sanitary tube condensers unsuitable

Factors that make Stainless Steel Sanitary Pipe condenser unsuitable:

1. It is sensitive to chlorides, so there is a limit on the amount of chlorides when stainless steel pipes are used.

2. Stainless steel sanitary pipes and copper tube plates will produce electrochemical corrosion and zinc corrosion, so cathodic protection should be used.

3. During shutdown, there is calcium acid deposition, and stainless steel TP304 and TP316 will produce pitting corrosion. Therefore, before the unit is shut down for a long time, the water chamber and pipes should be rinsed with clean water, and the water chamber cover should be opened and air-dried for two days to prevent pitting corrosion caused by excessive FeCl-1 concentration after water droplets evaporate.

In addition, some power manufacturing companies at home and abroad recommend the use of stainless steel bellows instead of copper pipes, which can increase the heat transfer effect by 25% to 30%, but the resistance loss of pipes with the same diameter is greater than that of light pipes, and there is no record of using it in large condensers in China.

Therefore, based on the above situation, it is recommended that stainless steel pipes be used instead of copper pipes when the condenser of old units is modified or the copper pipe leaks seriously.
